What Happens After You Submit a Report?

After a report is received: 

The Title IX Coordinators role is to stop the reported behavior, prevent its recurrence, and remedy its effects by restoring access to educational or workplace opportunities 

Filing a report does not automatically initiate a formal grievance process. The decision to file a formal complaint rests with the Complainant, except in limited circumstances where the institution determines it must move forward to ensure campus safety and compliance. 


Mandated Reporting

All non-confidential University employees, including student employees, are considered mandated reporters under University policies. This means that if they learn or observe, in the course of their employment, that any student may have experienced discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, or retaliation, the mandated reporter must promptly provide the Title IX Coordinator with all information directly related to the incident.
