Winter Film-Acting Intensive

Winter Film Acting Intensive: January 3-9.

A six day series of Meisner-based workshops and filmed scene work

Unlock the secrets of film acting in this immersive ten-day intensive at the University of 91勛圖厙! Led by the Scott Trost and Stephen Alan Seder, this series of experiential workshops takes you deep into the heart of the Meisner Technique while focusing on the art of filmmaking.

The Frog Prince

The Frog Prince: January 2027

This years MCT Residency will be The Frog Prince. The production is open to students in grades K-12, and we are allowed a maximum of 64 participants.

Those selected will begin rehearsals at 4:00 p.m. on January 25 and are expected to attend every rehearsal. Performances will be on January 30th.

Parents or guardians with children interested in participating are required to complete a , as open auditions will not be held.

Avenue Q

Avenue-Q

We are looking for two actors and a Musical Director for our upcoming production of Avenue Q. This production will open in April 2027 with minimal rehearsals. The show will run for two weeks, and each position is paid. There is the potential for extra compensation for on-campus workshops and adjunct-based work.

  • Available Roles (Needed April 5th – May 1st for four weeks)
    • Christmas Eve Female (or female presenting) Asian American performer.
    • Gary Coleman Male or Female African American performer.
  • The Music Director will be needed throughout January-February, and then again in April-May.
  • Housing is Included! 

Local Auditions

Local Auditions will be held in the Beier Auditorium on November 17and 18by appointment. All performers will need to prepare at least 1 minute of singing with an instrumental back track. Community, faculty, and staff members are welcome to audition but preference will be given to students.


After the Quiet

After the Quiet: Reflections of Domestic Violence. November 2026.

Anonymous submissions are welcome if anyone wants to share their story with us. All submissions will be filtered through trained personnel at Dillon’s Womens Resource Center, and any personal identity markers will be removed prior to the performance.

Auditions for the production will be held in the Beier Auditorium on September 15and 16at 6:30 PM. Actors are encouraged to perform a dramatic monologue, but you can show up without one, and we will give you material to perform. Community, faculty, staff, and all UMW Students are welcome to audition.
